Dr. Rahman is a Lecturer of Computer Science at Georgia State University. He began his career as a full-time faculty member at a public university in Bangladesh in 2009. Since then, he has actively served as a Computer Science (CS) academic for almost nine years, teaching a diverse set of undergraduate and graduate-level CS courses, supervising students, and serving in various administrative roles.
In 2017, he joined Georgia State University (GSU) to pursue his Ph.D., and in 2019, he began working at the Tri-institutional Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS). in Atlanta, Georgia, where he completed his Ph.D. and continued as a postdoctoral researcher until 2024. At TReNDS, Dr. Rahman and his colleagues focused on building explainability pipelines in neuroimaging, with the overarching goal of gaining insights into brain disorders. Since August 2024, he has been serving as a Lecturer in Computer Science at Georgia State University.
His research focuses on Explainable AI (XAI), deep learning, machine learning, medical image computing, and computer vision.
